Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) has released an important notice about a phishing attempt related to the state fiscal year 2027 enrollment. HHSC is aware that QIPP providers have received emails from sources pretending to be the HHSC Provider Finance Department. Please read this special bulletin from HHSC for important information about this phishing scam and what to do if you think you have received one of these emails.

Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) has issued a Newborn Medicaid Coverage Notice to inform parents and caregivers that newborn children are automatically eligible for Medicaid. In accordance with House Bill 3940, 89th Legislature, Regular Session, 2025, beginning January 1, 2026, providers will be required to distribute updated materials about newborn Medicaid coverage to the parent or caregiver of a newborn child and document that distribution. Please read our provider bulletin for details about this requirement and links to the updated materials.

The American Dental Association (ADA) has released the 2026 version of the Current Dental Terminology (CDT) dental procedure code manual. Please read our provider bulletin for the full list of the dental services benefit changes that have been made to support updates applicable to the Texas Medicaid and CHIP dental program.

A new version of the Texas Medicaid and CHIP Provider Manual is now available with an effective date of January 1. 2026. You will find a summary of the changes in the Revision History located at the back of the manual. We encourage you to download a copy of the new Texas Provider Manual today at https://manuals.mcna.net/texas.
